Paradise
My sister had a car wash today. They were raising money for the band. The seniors & "jumors" (sophmores/juniors) were competing against the freshmen to see who could earn the most money. The freshmen won. They got 400 dollars & the seniors & jumors got 150 bucks. They got most of the money from donations. My sister's friends Dayna, Jacque, Corey, & Shelan were there. We had to take them. This kid named Shane Fairbanks came (my friend Sarah's brother). He took his mom's van. He doesn't have a liscence. He doesn't even have a permit! So, there he was, about to drive Corey & Jacque to the freshmen carwash to see how they were doing. He backs up & bam! Smashes into another car. Corey & Jacque get out of his car & Shane drives off. Real smart. The guy that owned the car was a dealer. He kept trying to blame the accident on Tire Kingdom (that's where the carwash was). Then he tried blaming it on Ms. Adams (band teacher). They called the cops but they didn't show up for a while. Jacque & Corey were the witnesses. My mom drove everyone home (I guess the cops are just going to call them). I wonder what's going to happen to Shane. I was waiting to see if Sarah comes on so I could ask her about it, but then I remembered that she's on the jazz band field trip, so I'll have to wait until Monday. Well, when we dropped Corey off, my mom decided to show my Grandma what Aripeka was like (that the city Corey lives in). I've never been around the whole place, but wow, it was beautiful! There was saw grass as far as the eye could see (yeah, it's dangerous, but pretty). You could see the Gulf from there. There were really pretty houses in there. I've never seen a place as gorgeous as that. There are some nice places on the other side of Florida like that, but I've never seen mangroves on this side of Florida. I wish I could live there. Live out on the water, take an airboat out there, go fishing. That would be perfect. Sure, there's probably a lot of snakes around there, but it can't be as bad as my neighborhood. It was like a little paradise in my own backyard. Well, not literally. But my subdivision does connect with Aripeka, so kind of. I don't think I'll look at Florida the same way again.
